The new transatlantic joint venture of Air France-KLM (AF.FR) and Delta Airlines Inc. (DAL), of the U.S., will include routes to Latin America and other destinations, not just North America and Europe, though it won't lead to the creation of a new subsidiary, the head of Air France-KLM's Dutch arm said Tuesday.

Peter Hartman, president and chief executive of the KLM part of Air France-KLM told a press conference that the companies will form working groups, among other measures, to manage the venture.
