TANJONG PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY ("Tanjong" or "Company")
- Notification pursuant to Paragraph 14.09 (a) of the Kuala Lumpur Stock
Exchange Listing Requirements of Dealings during Open Period and Section 324 of
the United Kingdom Companies Act, 1985 of changes in interests in the shares of
the Company


1.     Paragraph 14.09 (a) of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE") Listing Requirements

       We wish to announce that the Company has today been notified by Leong Wai Hoong, a Director of
       the Company, pursuant to Paragraph 14.09 (a) of the KLSE Listing Requirements, of a dealing in
       the shares of Tanjong during an open period, as defined under Chapter 14 of the KLSE Listing
       Requirements as detailed below: -



       A disposal by him in the open market of the KLSE on 23 October 2003 of 10,000 shares of 7.5 pence
       each in Tanjong representing 0.0025% of the issued share capital of Tanjong at a transaction
       price of RM11.50 per share of 7.5 pence each.

2.     Section 324 of the United Kingdom Companies Act, 1985 ("UKCA")

       We wish to announce that the Company has also today been notified by Leong Wai Hoong pursuant to
       Section 324 of the UKCA of the occurrence of the following event: -



       A disposal by him in the open market of the KLSE on 23 October 2003 of 10,000 shares of 7.5 pence
       each in Tanjong representing 0.0025% of the issued share capital of Tanjong at a transaction
       price of RM11.50 per share of 7.5 pence each resulting in him ceasing to have any interest in the
       shares of Tanjong as at the date of the notification.
