Xebec Adsorption Inc. shares rose in early trading Friday after the company said it signed an agreement to supply its pressure swing adsorption technology to Air Liquide Advanced Technology US.

At 10:19 a.m. ET, the shares were up 9.9% at C$2.00.

The Canadian designer and manufacturer of specialized equipment for compressed air and gases said its platform will be deployed alongside Air Liquide's membrane technology, with the aim of creating a two-stage system to purify helium from geological sources.

Air Liquide Advanced Technology US is part of France-based Air Liquide S.A. which supplies industrial gases and services to various industries.

Xebec said it will benefit from the scale and resources that Air Liquide offers, given its size and position in the North American market.
