HOD HASHARON, Israel,
July 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Allot Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ, TASE: ALLT), a leading global
provider of intelligent broadband solutions that empower
communication service providers to optimize and monetize their
networks, enterprises to enhance productivity and consumers to
improve their digital lifestyle, announced today its participation
in the HP OpenNFV Partner Program, an initiative designed to help
the telecommunications industry accelerate the development and
delivery of new and innovative services through the virtualization
of core networks and network functions.
As part of the program, Allot will be offering its virtual
Traffic Detection Function (vTDF) and security services on the HP
OpenNFV platform. The integration demonstrates service enablement
and delivery for virtual security services that are deployed over
the HP OpenNFV cloud environment platform. Following the Internet
Engineering Task Force (IETF) and 3rd Generation Partnership
Project (3GPP) evolving standards, Allot's vTDF together with
Allot's Element Manager (EM) enables dynamic creation and
management of pre-integrated security services such as Allot's DDoS
protection and content-filtering.
"Allot's virtualized solutions enable service providers and
enterprises to enjoy high performance and scalability while
minimizing capital and service costs. Operators are excited to be
able to roll out new security services with reduced time to market
at lower operational and capital expenditures, providing a great
opportunity to monetize their data," said Jay Klein, CTO & VP, Allot Communications.
"We are excited to partner with HP and leverage the great value the
HP NFV architecture offers with its approach to accelerate the
design, proof-of-concept, trial and deployment of new cloud-enabled
network services and innovations."
"HP is partnering with technology innovators who demonstrate
they can effectively leverage the HP OpenNFV platform to offer
value added services to organizations," said Werner Schaefer, vice president, Network
Functions Virtualization, HP. "Allot Communications solutions
provide great value to the OpenNFV ecosystem."
The Allot Service Gateway Virtual Edition (SG VE) provides vital
service enablement capabilities including traffic detection,
analytics, policy enforcement and charging. The SG VE can be
deployed anywhere in the network or the cloud to facilitate new use
cases and services to mobile, fixed and converged environments.
Allot's integration with HP OpenNFV components such as HP NFV
Director and HP Helion enables onboarding of Allot's virtual
solutions in the HP ecosystem environment. This transition from
proprietary equipment installed in a specific topology location to
Virtual Network Functions - that can be distributed throughout the
network and uniformly managed - enables operators to:
● Simplify and automate service deployment,
provisioning and configuration
● Add elasticity to the network for more fluid and
efficient allocation of resources
● Leverage distributed cloud infrastructure to
implement complex use cases with ease
● Reduce time-to-market for consumer and business
services

integration with the HP OpenNFV platform can be found in the Allot
