Dynamic Materials Corporation to Announce Preliminary Fourth Quarter and Full-Year Earnings Results on March 5, 2009

Dynamic Materials Corporation ("DMC") (NASDAQ: BOOM), the world's
leading provider of explosion-welded clad metal plates, will
announce preliminary fourth quarter and full-year financial results
after the stock market closes on Thurs., March 5, 2009. Management
is currently working with its auditors and valuation consultants to
complete goodwill impairment testing on the Company's Oilfield
Products segment, which was included in DMC's Nov. 2007 acquisition
of DYNAenergetics. The Oilfield Products Segment accounted for
approximately 11% of DMC's total revenue through the first nine
months of fiscal 2008. Upon completion of the annual impairment
test, which is being performed as of Dec. 31, 2008, the Company
will issue final audited financial results.
Following the release of its preliminary financial results,
