NORTHVILLE, Mich., April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hayes Lemmerz International Inc. (NASDAQ:HAYZ) announced today that it was unable, without unreasonable effort or expense, to timely file its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended January 31, 2006. The delay in filing is due to the Company's recent identification of certain adjustments needed in the tax provisions relating to the Company's operations in Germany. These adjustments are expected to have no impact on earnings from operations or Adjusted EBITDA as previously announced by the Company on April 11, 2006 and are expected to favorably impact net earnings by approximately $4 million.
