New technologies that reproduce digital audio Visteon is a global leader in the development of digital audio and playback. Kenwood by Visteon offers audio systems for compressed file playback in both the MP3 format and the Windows Media Audio (WMA) formats. The digital audio playback systems have an exclusive MACH(R) Track capability allowing for fast reading of digital information to speed music selection. "Adding these new features will provide superior technology in products that cater more to the needs of the national market," said Sergio Montagnoli, aftermarket director of Visteon South America. "The complete redesign of the portfolio, and the customization of the WMA and MP3 technologies, characterize the technological evolution of the 2004 equipment." Kenwood Multimedia Line by Visteon The Excelon family entertainment system, Kenwood line by Visteon, has a futuristic design. The O KDC-X879 includes a large, high-resolution monitor that is easy to see. The control panel features a three-dimensional design enabling easy access to the controls and the monitor panel angle can be adjusted by remote control. The system includes pre-sets for equalization, including Treble and Bass settings for personalized listening. The equipment also has RCA 5V outlets, system Q, ES and EX, providing a three-dimensional audio effect inside the vehicle. The KDC-X879 is capable of reproducing MP3 and WMA format. The consumer can choose between two DVD models: the KVT 915DVD and the KVT 745DVD. The top-of-the-line product incorporates a 5.1 channel audio decoder with Dolby Digital, (Digital Theater system) DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II, capable of transforming a car into a realistic, mobile cinema. It's possible to adjust the angle of the screen to eight positions through an automatic mechanism. The DVD has a tuner for TV/RADIO and another for DVD audio/visual with PAL-M and NTSC outlets. The equipment also reproduces archives in MP3 and WMA format. The power of the new system is delivered through the 300W X 2 + 600W amplifier with Metal-Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (MOSFET) technology. A 12-inch subwoofer supports the system and delivers more than 800 Watts of sheer audio power. Visteon Aftermarket products in Brazil deliver in-vehicle entertainment Visteon will offer a single unit that will serve as the AM/FM radio and is capable of playing MP3 files and regular compact music discs. The CD/MP3 player will be sold commercially in specialized stores and magazines. This audio solution provides a customized option for those wanting MP3 and more. The 12-inch subwoofer VSW-300 is dedicated for those who want power of up to 600 Watts. Consumers who wish to invest in in-vehicle entertainment will see some exciting entertainment options in 2004. The OH 7000 model is derived from a concept originally applied in Europe and adapted to meet the needs of the Brazilian market. This multimedia entertainment system features a flip down screen similar to that of today's laptop, and the ability to play audio and video CDs and DVDs. The ROH-9000 can be utilized in cars as much as other places. Auxiliary connectors allow the use of other portables such as video games and video cameras. The multimedia line further comes with diverse options including screens and DVD players such as MB 8000 and the SUPER SLIM SIZE VXM-2200.
