it has recently been awarded a long term contract valued at over
$71 million for production and supply
of its proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) Hawker®
ARMASAFE® Plus batteries. EnerSys signed a three
year contract with an option for two additional years with the
United States Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for batteries
used by all branches of the U.S. military in combat and tactical
vehicles, as well as generators.

The company will continue to produce Hawker®
ARMASAFE® Plus batteries at its highly automated
facility in Warrensburg, Missouri
where batteries for U.S. Navy nuclear submarines and U.S. military
aircraft are also manufactured.
