PR Newswire (US)
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Horace Mann
Educators Corp. (NYSE:HMN) announced it has lowered auto insurance
rates in Idaho an average of 5.4 percent effective Jan. 1, 2006.
The rate reductions apply to customers and prospects who are
members of the education community. "We are extremely pleased to
reduce rates for educators who give so much to our community," said
Doug Reynolds, executive vice president, property and casualty.
"The facts prove that teachers are a better insurance risk with
fewer claims, so we are passing the savings along by reducing their
rates. We've also increased our auto discount for customers who
have other lines of business with us, such as life or homeowner
insurance or an annuity." "From auto, property and life insurance
to retirement annuities, Horace Mann is dedicated to helping
America's educators develop insurance and retirement plans to meet
their unique needs - at an affordable price," said Reynolds. Horace
Mann -- the largest national multiline insurance company focusing
on educators' financial needs -- provides auto and homeowners
insurance, retirement annuities, life insurance and other financial
