Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open
source solutions, today announced the agenda for its 2016 Red Hat
Government Symposium, to be held on November 2, 2016 in Arlington,
Va. Open source is an important part of government-wide initiatives
to modernize government IT and speed innovation with agile,
cloud-native solutions and new digital services. At the 2016 Red
Hat Government Symposium, more than 650 government technology and
industry professionals are expected to come together to discuss
open source's role in digital transformation and addressing key
government IT challenges.
Under the theme, “Open first: building a foundation for choice
and security,” the event will feature:
- A keynote address on the government's
digital transformation from Tim Yeaton, senior vice president of
Red Hat's Infrastructure Business Group.
- Speakers from the Department of
Agriculture; Department of Homeland Security; Department of
Veterans Affairs; National Reconnaissance Office; Social Security
Administration; U.S. Courts; and other government agencies and
industry experts.
- Breakout sessions, demos, and panel
discussions on security, mobility, modernization, automation and
integration, hybrid cloud, open source development, and more.
