In Los Angeles, when it comes to using your phone when, where, and how you want to, who delivers the best experience?
15 June 2018 - 4:28AM
The nation’s most rigorous, independent scientific study has
recognized Verizon as the #1 wireless network in Los Angeles for
the 14th consecutive time. According to a new report from
RootMetrics®, for the 6th time in a row, Verizon was unbeaten in
every category including overall performance, reliability, data,
speed, call and text network performance. Los Angeles is one
of 75 of 99 cities tested this year in which Verizon was unbeaten –
that’s better than 3 out of 4 cities tested.
And it’s not just in Los Angeles (or New York, Boston, Chicago,
Dallas or Washington DC) where you can find an unmatched
experience. We are consistently recognized for providing a superior
network experience nationwide by a wide range of independent third
parties. Just this year, Verizon was ranked #1 in the nation for a
record ninth time in a row by RootMetrics®*; received more awards
than any other wireless provider in the J.D. Power Wireless Network
Quality Performance Study** (20th time in a row); was recognized as
best in streaming***; and in April was found to deliver the best
real-world download speeds by Tutela, a widely installed network
testing software, with over 250 million devices globally.****
What does this mean for you?
Having lots of awards from multiple independent testers is nice,
but that’s not why we’ve built the nation’s best, most reliable
wireless 4G LTE network. We’ve built it so that you can be sure
you’ll be able to use your device when and how you want to.
Whatever matters most to you – whether it’s playing a game,
streaming music or a movie, sharing that perfect moment with your
friends, or connecting with loved ones – you can do it best with
Verizon.
How does Verizon Remain on Top for
Customers?
“Angelenos can game and stream more as their lifestyle demands
because our engineers focus every day to deliver the network you
can count on,” said Verizon’s Pacific Market President Jonathan
LeCompte. “That, along with our consistent investment in the
network and deployment of the latest technologies, including our
plans to bring 5G to Los Angeles this year, is why we continue to
have an overwhelming lead over the competition across the vast
majority of third party tests and studies.”
We engineer our wireless network to stay ahead of
ever-increasing consumer demand. Our most recent network
improvements to the area include:
- Adding small cells in Chinatown, LA Live and the Arts
District;
- Enhancing coverage and capacity at Santa Monica Pier and along
Hollywood Boulevard, and;
- Delivering new LTE Advanced technologies.
We are committed to delivering the best customer experience not
just on our network, but on the plans you choose as well. Starting
June 18, you can mix and match different Verizon unlimited plans –
all on the same, easy-to-manage account. Every person in your
family gets the plan they need, without paying for things they
don’t -- all on the network they deserve.
2018 has brought many exciting technology firsts and more
options than ever for our customers, with more to come--including
our next generation 5G network. To learn more about the work our
engineers are doing, check out these videos on why we’re Best
For a Good Reason.
