Siemens Energy Wins Contract to Electrify a Biorefinery in Germany

Siemens Energy AG on Wednesday said that it will electrify
Finnish company UPM-Kymmene Oyj's biorefinery in Leuna,
Germany.
The German energy player said it will supply electrification,
automation, and digitalization packages for the biorefinery, which
is currently under construction and scheduled to start up in late
2022.
The industrial-scale facility will produce green biochemicals
without the use of fossil-based raw materials, according to the
company.
