NJ/IABC IRIS Awards Program Honors Public Service Enterprise Group
for Communications Excellence NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 19

received four 2003 IRIS Awards from The New Jersey Chapter of the
International Association of Business Communicators (NJ/IABC) for
its communications products. PSEG communicators received Awards of
Excellence for: * PSEG 100th Anniversary Celebration (in the
"One-time or Ongoing Campaign" category) -- PSEG celebrated the
company's 100th anniversary in 2003 with an year long
communications program including publication of a 100th anniversary
book and video, employee day at minor league baseball games,
ringing of the NYSE Closing Bell and other events. * Performance
Matters -- Parts I, II & III (in the "Electronic &
Interactive Communication" category) -- a communication plan
targeted at employees and how performance reflects on their overall
compensation. In addition, PSEG communicators received Awards of
Merit for: * PSEG 100th Anniversary Book (in the "Publications"
category) -- a 127 page book published at the beginning of year --
distributed to all employees, retirees and shareholders -- as
wellas sold to the general public. * PSEG Outlook (in the
"Publications" category) -- the company's monthly newspaper
distributed to all employees and retirees. The company was honored
at the annual NJ/IABC award ceremony on Thursday, January 29, at
Headquarters Plaza Hotel in Morristown, N.J. The NJ/IABC IRIS Award
program celebrates excellence in communications. Entries were
judged on innovative and effective use of media, overall quality of
writing, design, execution, and successful achievement of
communications objectives. Categories included communications
campaigns, electronic and interactive communications, audiovisual
communications, publications (non- subscription), design,
publication redesign, branding and identify efforts, writing,
