CRANBROOK, BRITISH COLUMBIA continues to intersect high grade gold and silver at depth on the Serra structure at the Coringa gold project in Brazil. Hole 61 intersected 4.50 m of 9.09 g/t gold (Au), 39.80 g/t silver (Ag), 0.44 % lead (Pb), 0.28 % zinc (Zn) and 0.17 % copper (Cu) from 98.50 to 103.00 m. Included within this interval was:

- 42.98 g/t (1.26 oz/t) Au, 126 g/t (3.68 oz/t) Ag, 3.50 % Pb, 1.90 % Zn and 0.15 % Cu from 98.50 to 99.00 m,

- 33.56 g/t (0.98 oz/t) Au, 219.00 g/t (6.39 oz/t) Ag, 0.33 % Pb, 0.43 % Zn and 1.30 % Cu from 101.70 to 102.20 m.

This hole was drilled approximately 40.00 m east of Hole 39 with a previously reported intersection of 1.00 m of 14.94 g/t Au, and 0.65 % Cu from 66.50 to 67.50 m.

Gold mineralization over 5.00 m was also intersected at a depth of 113.50 m on the Meio structure. Hole 65 intersected 5.00 m of 3.57 g/t Au, 28.73 g/t Ag, 2.23 % Pb, 1.91 % Zn and 0.25 % Cu from 113.50 to 118.50 m. This hole was drilled approximately 33.00 m northeast of Hole 62 with a previously reported intersection of 3.00 m of 67.77 g/t (1.92 oz/t) Au, 65.17 g/t (1.90 oz/t) Ag, 6.03 % Pb, 4.35 % Zn and 0.45 % Cu from 56.00 to 59.00 m (click link to see location map on website: www.chapleauresources.com/projectmaps.php?ID=11).

Results for the second phase drilling, totaling 5,031.70 m, have now been received and a total of 6,805.83 m (66 diamond drill holes) have been completed in two drill campaigns in the past 12 months (click link to see drill location map on website: www.chapleauresources.com/projectmaps.php?ID=11 ). Drilling has confirmed high grade gold intersections within larger envelopes of gold, silver, lead, zinc and copper mineralization associated with approximately 2.2 km of gold veins. The 2.2 km of gold veins represent less than a quarter of the total 10 km strike length of 17 mapped gold structures.

Preliminary interpretations and in-house long sections for the 2.2 km of mineralization associated with three of eight target areas show gold grades, gold equivalent grades(1) and thicknesses which are open at depth and along strike of the areas drilled (click link to see long section interpretations on website: www.chapleauresources.com/projectmaps.php?ID=11). These preliminary interpretations, showing the nature of the gold, silver and base metal mineralization, will now be used to expand future drill programs to explore:

1. plunging mineralized structures at depths of greater than 150m,

2. mineralized extensions below covered areas, and

3. areas where limited drilling, one or two holes, has indicated gold-bearing structures along strike of the higher grade gold zones.

Further follow-up drilling of the eight target areas and other mineralized structures, as identified from reconnaissance pan concentrate sampling programs will proceed once additional geophysical programs and soil sampling have been completed in areas of cover beyond the current drilling (click link to see map on website: www.chapleauresources.com/projectmaps.php?ID=11).

(1) For the long section interpretations on the Chapleau website gold grades were composited over 1.50 m intervals for the individual drill holes. Gold equivalent grades were based on the assumption that 79 to 94 % of Ag, Pb Zn and Cu, similar to gold recoveries, can be obtained through flotation methods (see press release of May 07, 2008). Gold equivalent calculations were based on the following metal prices: Gold-US$800/oz, Silver-US$12/oz, Copper-US$2.50/lb, Lead-US$0.80/lb and Zinc-US$0.80/lb.

The summary of gold, silver, lead, zinc and copper results for the remaining holes on the Meio, Serra, Boca and Das Pacas structures are highlighted in the tables below.

(i) Previously reported results

- BD - Below detection limit of less than 0.1 g/t Ag

- Gold assays greater than 0.5 g/t Au are reported with the exception of
gold values included within mineralized intervals with widths of greater
than 1 m.

- Cu, Pb and Zn values greater than 0.1 % are reported with the exception
of Cu, Pb and Zn values included within mineralized intervals with widths
of greater than 1 m.

Drill holes were inclined at between 50 degrees and 60 degrees with a maximum of 185.10 m core length. Core recovery for the mineralized intervals averaged greater than 95%. The estimated true widths of all the mineralized intervals are approximately 90% of the intersected widths in the holes. Gold mineralization occurs within silicified, quartz veined and sericite altered shear zones surrounded by hematitic and propylitic envelopes within granite and rhyolites. Principal sulphide mineralization includes pyrite, galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite between 0.5% and 20.0%.

Drill cores for assaying from Holes 46 to 66 were taken at a minimum of 0.2 m and maximum of 2.0 m intervals. All core samples (HQ diameter) were cut with a diamond saw and one-half of the core placed in bags, numbered and sealed then sent via a secure transport agency to the SGS Geosol laboratory in Itaituba in Brazil for preparation and the pulps sent directly to the SGS Geosol laboratory in Belo Horizonte and Vespasiano for analysis. The core samples were crushed down to 2 mm, a split of 250 to 300 g was taken and pulverized to better than 95% minus 150 mesh. Gold analysis was by fire assay of a 30 g sample and an atomic absorption finish. Silver and additional 32 elements using aqua regia acid digestion were analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). As part of the Company's QA/QC program duplicates, blanks and internationally recognized standards were included in the sample batches to check on assay precision and accuracy. SGS Geosol which is an ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001: 2004 registered laboratory also has a quality control program in place which includes standards and duplicates.
