Allianz SE (ALV.XE) said Wednesday that its digital investment
unit has invested $35 million in Indonesian mobile platform
GO-JEK.
This is Allianz X's first investment in a southeast
Asian-headquartered company, Allianz said, adding that it is now
GO-JEK's sole international insurance shareholder.
Jakarta-based GO-JEK is a ride-hailing platform that also offers
various consumer on-demand and payment services. The app has more
than a million registered drivers serving customers in more than 50
Indonesian cities, Allianz said.
