Ballistic Recovery Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:BRSI or BRSI.OB)(BRSparachutes.com), a manufacturer and worldwide supplier of whole-airplane parachute recovery systems for general aviation and recreational aircraft, acknowledged today that a Cirrus SR20, equipped with a BRS parachute, crashed into a high-rise condominium tower in New York City at mid-afternoon, killing two people. BRS President Larry Williams said, �We were immediately informed today of a fatal crash in New York of an airplane equipped with one of our emergency parachute recovery systems. At this time our thoughts and condolences are with the families of those killed, and with the first responders who had to deal with this tragic accident.� The National Transportation Safety Board has already sent a team to fully investigate the accident. Williams said, �This accident is under review by BRS, the NTSB and the FAA. We will cooperate fully with these agencies and with Cirrus, the airplane manufacturer. The NTSB will communicate their findings, and any causes related to the accident, as they become available.
