Norwegian telecom operator Telenor ASA (TEL.OS) said Friday its
earnings before interest and taxes, or Ebit, from Malaysian
subsidiary DiGi rose to NOK1.21 billion in the first quarter from
NOK774 million a year earlier.
MAIN FACTS:
-Revenues rose to NOK3.17 billion from NOK3.01 billion.
-Ebitda rose to NOK1.42 billion from NOK1.30 billion.
-During the quarter, the total number of subscriptions increased
by 109,000 to 10.886 million.
-In 2014, DiGi aims to deliver 4%-6% revenue growth and an
Ebitda margin sustained at 2013 level. The capex in 2014 is
expected to be up to MYR 900 million.
-At 0812 GMT shares traded 0.2% lower at NOK135.30.
