Volkswagen needs better silicon anodes to get where they need to go. The Coretec Group has a silicon anode they say will give twice the miles on half the charge. Longer cycle life , more energy density , faster charging ,smaller and less costly battery as well .This is what Volkswagen needs to be the #1 EV !

Enter the Volkswagen ID3, which, with a price point of $33,000 possibly represents the biggest challenge to Tesla's dominant EV status yet. The vehicle goes on sale in Europe and the UK this summer, despite the coronavirus and offers the same amount of range and storage space as a Tesla Model 3.
