The Five Arrows Chile Investment Trust Limited (In Liquidation)("the Company")
               Net Asset Value as at 31st May, 2001

The Company announces that the estimated unaudited Net Asset Value (NAV) per
share as at 31st May 2001, the anniversary of the liquidation, was as follows:

The entire equity portfolio of the Company has now been realised and all funds
formerly held in Chile remitted to the UK.  The assets of the Company now
solely consist of cash deposits and other short term cash instruments held in
the UK.

Total cash distributed to date per share     *  2.35 US$
   
* The first interim liquidation distribution to shareholders of US$ 0.70 per
share was paid on 26 June 2000.

* A second interim liquidation distribution to shareholders of US$ 0.50 per
share was paid on 15 August 2000

* A third interim liquidation distribution to shareholders of US$ 1.15 per
share was paid on 18th December 2000.
 
Jeremy Spratt and Stephen Treharne of KPMG were appointed as joint liquidators
of the Company on 27th April 2000. 

The only matter preventing the completion of the liquidation and the payment
of a fourth and final distribution is the receipt of UK tax clearances. The
joint liquidators are at present unable to confirm when the appropriate tax
clearances will be given, but an announcement to shareholders will be made as
soon as it is possible to do so.

The above estimates have been prepared on an unaudited basis and provided to
the Company on a best efforts basis. Accordingly, no responsibility is
accepted by the Company or its advisers or agents for the accuracy of the
above calculations and investors should not rely upon this valuation when
making investment decisions.
