Operational Update: Expansion of Plant Capacity to Triple Food Production

Anglo African Agriculture plc (LSE: AAAP), the London Main board listed food manufacturing company announces that it has commenced work to triple the production capacity of it’s spices manufacturing facilities in South Africa.

Production capacity of AAA’s 100% wholly owned food manufacturing and marketing business, Dynamic Intertrade (Pty) Limited (“Dynamic”), is currently limited to about 80 tonnes of bespoke spices per month. The planned food processing plant expansion works now underway should increase overall production capacity to approximately 250 tonnes per month with the installation of new spice milling machines which are already located in the factory. It is anticipated that the upgrades at Dynamic should be completed and operational by the end of November this year.

Dynamic operates from a modern 3,000 m² FSSC compliant facility in Cape Town and is focused on the manufacture, import and distribution of herbs, spices and seasonings for the food manufacturing sector.

David Lenigas, the Company’s Chairman, commented:

“The business has required extra production capacity for some time and the installation of the new milling machines and associated equipment will allow Dynamic to reduce overall operating costs whilst allowing extra capacity to manufacture new specialty lines of batch blended products for the food manufacturing sector, where we see good potential to really grow the business. We have already seen new orders and customers in the last month alone for specialty spice blends for restaurant chains, and we are now producing new ranges of BBQ spices (branded “Thundergun Grill”), Curry blends (branded “Chakalaka”) and beef jerky blends (branded “Dynamic Biltong Spices”).”
