Alliance Boots plc notes the announcement made by the Office of Fair Trading
this morning that it is to undertake a market study into the pharmaceutical
distribution market in the United Kingdom.


The announcement of this market study does not effect the operation of the
Group's direct to pharmacy distribution arrangements with Pfizer.
