Notification of an interest in shares pursuant to Section 91 of the Companies
Act, 1990.

As solicitors for the Bank of Nova Scotia ("the Bank"), we hereby  notify you
that the Bank has become interested (within the meaning of Section 91 of the
Companies Act, 1990) on its own behalf and as trustee for certain other banks
and financial institutions, in 14,850,000 Ordinary Shares in the share capital
of the Company which said shares are, so far as is known to us at the date of
this notification, registered in the name of Stemriver Investment Limited.

This notification is made pursuant to the provisions of Section 91 (2) of the
Companies Act, 1990.
