                                  Acquisition


The board of Capital Ideas is pleased to announce that the Company, through its
wholly owned subsidiary, Capital Ideas Financial Publishing Limited ("CIFP"),
agreed to acquire certain of the assets of a division  of publishing company,
Charterhouse Communications Group Limited (in administration) ("Charterhouse")
from its joint administrators, both of KPMG.



The assets being acquired relate to Charterhouse's "Wealth Enhancement" division
which publishes journals and periodicals and, in particular the magazine titles
"Company REFS", "Company Guide" and "The Corporate Register".  The assets
themselves consist of intellectual property rights, stock and marketing and
media information, in each case relating to those magazine titles (the "
Charterhouse Assets").  No liabilities of Charterhouse are being assumed as part
of this acquisition.



The Consideration payable by CIFP to Charterhouse for the Charterhouse Assets is
�195,000 which is payable in cash together with VAT of �34,125.



Charterhouse was put into administration earlier this month, stating that its
mortgage magazines, including one titled "Mortgage Introducer", had been badly
hit by the credit crunch as advertisers refused to commit to spending.



Capital Ideas Chairman, Renwick Haddow, said:  "The ex-Charterhouse brands are
very strong ones with over 5,000 subscribers  This transaction will provide
synergies and distribution opportunities for Capital Ideas' other business
interests including its newly formed financial products business which will be
launched shortly".
