Directorate Change
Card Factory plc ("Card Factory" or "the Group") announces that
it has been informed by Darren Bryant that he wishes to retire from
his role as Chief Financial Officer after eight years with the
Group. Darren has agreed to continue in his role until a successor
has been identified and through a transitional period.
Geoff Cooper, Chairman, commented:
"Over the past eight years Darren has contributed significantly
to the strategic development and sustained growth of the Group. As
our CFO, he successfully steered the Company through its 2014 IPO
and, after such an intense period of activity, we understand his
wish to retire. We are extremely grateful for all he has done and,
when he steps down, it will be with our very best wishes for the
future."
Darren Bryant commented:
"Having started my professional career some 25 years ago, I feel
that the time is right to take a break. My time at Card Factory has
been, by some margin, the highlight of my career and so it was with
mixed emotions that I informed the Board of my desire to retire
from the Group.
I am immensely proud of everything we have achieved together in
growing the business from a successful, yet relatively unknown,
Yorkshire family company to the position of clear market leader and
a FTSE250 national retailer. The Group is in an incredibly strong
position and I look forward to watching it grow and prosper in the
years ahead."
Separately today the Group has announced a trading update for
the 11 months ended 31 December 2016.
