              Eurocity Properties PLC ("Eurocity" or "the Company")

The Board of Eurocity wishes to announce that on 19 October 2000 the Company
issued 125,000 Eurocity Ordinary shares at par to Baron Bloom ("Mr. Bloom"), the
managing director of the Company, in satisfaction of its obligations to Mr.
Bloom arising from its agreement with him dated 17 March 1998, relating to
incentive arrangements, as subsequently varied.

Following the transaction referred to above, Mr. Bloom holds 263,000 Eurocity
Ordinary Shares, representing 6.62 per cent of the Company's issued Ordinary
share capital as enlarged by the issue of the incentive shares.
