                                ISSUE OF EQUITY                                

Hidefield Gold plc (the "Company" or "Hidefield") announces that it has issued
and allotted 21,000 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 7p per share to
each of Robert Ashley and Francis Johnstone, both of whom are Non-Executive
Directors of the Company, in lieu of directors' fees.

Following the issue, Robert Ashley is interested in 316,000 shares in the
Company (representing 0.11 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital), of
which 246,000 are held in the name of Dewden Pty Limited, and Francis Johnstone
is interested in 1,616,000 shares (representing 0.59 per cent. of the enlarged
issued share capital), of which 1,500,000 shares are held in the name of Rock
Capital Partners Limited.

Application will be made for the 42,000 new shares to be admitted to AIM and it
is expected that admission will occur on 6 July 2007.
