Sixth Municipal Entity in South Carolina to
Partner with HomeServe
HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency
repair solutions, today announced the launch of its partnership
with the City of North Myrtle Beach to offer optional service plans
for exterior water and sewer lines and in-home plumbing repairs to
North Myrtle Beach homeowners.
The plans offered through HomeServe provide North Myrtle Beach
homeowners protection against the expense and inconvenience of
emergency repairs to water and sewer service line breaks that occur
on their side of their property line and in-home plumbing problems.
Homeowners often assume that these kinds of emergency repairs are
covered by basic homeowner’s insurance or their local municipality;
however, water and sewer service line repairs on residential
property are typically the homeowner’s responsibility to
manage.
The City of North Myrtle Beach joins six other municipalities
and water systems around South Carolina in selecting HomeServe as
the provider of this optional residential service program. More
than 56,000 homeowners in South Carolina hold service plans through
HomeServe to help manage a variety of household repair needs.
“A water line repair can take a toll on a homeowner’s wallet, so
we are pleased to partner with HomeServe to extend this option to
homeowners to protect themselves,” said North Myrtle Beach Finance
Director Randy Wright.
“We’re happy to partner with the City of North Myrtle Beach to
extend this convenient option to residential customers,” said Tom
Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “Our service plans protect customers
from having to absorb the high costs of this type of emergency
repair.”
HomeServe plan holders have access to a Repair Hotline that is
accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year as well as local area
licensed and insured contractors available to come to their home to
accomplish repairs. The Water Service Line Coverage is available
for a $6.99 monthly fee, while the Sewer/Septic Line coverage is
$10.49 per month and the Interior Pluming and Drainage System
Coverage is $12.99 monthly. Convenient payment options are
available directly to HomeServe.
North Myrtle Beach homeowners will receive additional details
about the optional service plans in the mail. Homeowners can also
visit www.HomeServeUSA.com or call 1-888-212-0294 for more
information.
