                                 Appointment


The Board of Innovision Research & Technology plc is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr Peter Symons to the Board with immediate effect.

Mr Peter Symons was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Innovision Research
& Technology in March 2001.  A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute
of Electrical Engineers, he was previously with AWE Aldermaston as Principal
Engineer and Group Leader in the Electronics Research Group, Thorn EMI and
Digital Microsystems. He has considerable experience of electronics and
project management with particular expertise in digital signal processing,
radio communications and instrumentation systems.

Commenting on the appointment, Marc Borrett, Managing Director, said:

"We are delighted that Peter is now joining the Board, having done a great job
in leading our research team since joining the company.  As we move towards
the engineering and development stage on many of our new projects, Peter's
excellent project management and engineering skills will prove invaluable in
ensuring the on-time delivery of our technologies into the marketplace."
