--David Kenny, the senior vice-president of IBM's Watson and Cloud Platform‎ division, was interviewed last month by WPP regarding succeeding Martin Sorrell, according to Sky News.

--Mr. Kenny was this weekend ruled out of the running for the position, Sky News reports.

--Mark Read, WPP's co-chief operating officer, and Hamish McLennan, an advertising industry veteran, have also been interviewed for the position, according to Sky News.
