A fire at a Total SA (TOT) oil refinery in Antwerp, Belgium, Monday morning didn't affect production and no-one was injured, a spokeswoman said.

The blaze lasted for about an hour before being extinguished by the refinery's own fire service backed up by city firefighters, spokeswoman Vera Remans said. The fire occurred at the plant's HDS3 hydrodesulfurization unit, a Total spokesman in Paris said.

The refinery is Total's largest and the second biggest in Europe, with a production capacity of 360,000 barrels a day. It produces gasoline, diesel and kerosene for the European and U.S. markets.
