Taylor & Francis Group plc ("the Company")

On 27th November 2003, the Company was informed that Coutts & Co. and Mr SMA
Banister (a connected party of Mr DJ Banister, a director of the Company) have,
as trustees of the Idwen Banister Will Trust, sold 396,500 ordinary shares in
Taylor & Francis Group plc, representing 0.46% of the issued class on 27
November 2003 at a price of 535p.

In aggregate this reduces their holding to 6,170,000 ordinary shares,
representing 7.19% of the issued class, which they hold as trustees registered
in the name of Strand Nominees Ltd.

Following this disposal of 396,500 shares, in which he had a beneficial interest
over 26,075 shares, Mr DJ Banister has a beneficial interest in 1,785,772 shares
and a non-beneficial interest in 5,078,400 shares, amounting in aggregate to
8.0% of the issued share capital of the Company. These interests exclude the
above holding by a connected party, save for 430,000 of those shares in which Mr
DJ Banister has a beneficial interest (which are also included in his total
beneficial interest of 1,785,772 shares).
