TORONTO, March 19, 2020 /CNW/ -- Employment in
Canada increased by 7,200 jobs
from January to February according to the February
ADP® Canada National Employment
Report. Broadly distributed to the public each month,
free of charge, the ADP Canada National Employment Report is
produced by the ADP Research Institute®. The
report, which is derived from actual ADP payroll data, measures the
change in total nonfarm payroll employment each month on a
seasonally-adjusted basis.

"The labor market experienced relatively strong gains in trade,
transportation and utilities; construction and finance and
insurance," said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and co-head of the
ADP Research Institute. "While the labor market posted solid
employment growth, job losses in impacted industries may signal the
beginning of the COVID-19 fallout."
The January total of jobs added was revised up from 25,100 to
37,200.
The March 2020 ADP Canada
National Employment Report will be released at 8:30a.m.ET on April 16,
2020.
