Dynamic Materials Names Gary Klein President of AMK Welding

Dynamic Materials Corporation (DMC) (NASDAQ: BOOM) today announced
Gary Klein has been named president of the Company's AMK Welding
business. Klein was previously general manager of the Americas at
DYNAenergetics, DMC's oilfield products business, where he was
responsible for sales, manufacturing and distribution operations in
the United States, Canada and South America.
Klein, 60, joins AMK with extensive operational and management
experience in the manufacturing, industrial engineering, aerospace
and energy industries. Prior to joining DMC, he was vice president
of operations for Tegrant Corp., a leading provider of highly
engineered protective packaging solutions. Among other duties, he
was charged with strengthening the operations and financial
performance of six of Tegrant's U.S. manufacturing facilities.
Klein also was with AMETEK, Inc., where he served as vice
president and business unit manager for the company's $130 million
Aerospace Sensors and Fluid Management Systems business. He led a
team of 520 employees and was responsible for sales, marketing and
manufacturing operations at four plants in the United States and
Mexico.
Klein worked for four years with Electro Scientific Industries,
a $500 million semiconductor capital equipment business, where he
ascended to vice president and general manager of the company's
global services operation. He also spent six years at Eaton
Corporation, where he was product development manager and focused
on down-hole cable products for the energy industry. He spent nine
years with The Rockbestos Company, where he was vice president of
engineering and focused on off-shore drilling products and
applications.

Klein replaces AMK's former president, Nelson Rouette, who is no
longer with the business.
