PR Newswire (US)
More than 100 non-Emmis stations have joined forces with the
industry-leading interactive company CHICAGO, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/
-- Emmis Interactive, Inc., the software and consulting company
that empowers the reinvention of local media, today announced it
has partnered with radio stations in markets across the country to
provide its successful interactive platform and proven sales
consulting services. "These are successful stations looking for a
way to grow," Deborah Esayian, co-president of Emmis Interactive
said. "And to grow, they needed to develop a serious interactive
strategy and business. They chose Emmis Interactive to be their
partners in that journey." The latest radio stations to partner
with Emmis Interactive are KPRS-FM (Kansas City - Carter
Broadcasting), WLOQ-FM (Orlando, FL - Gross Communications),
WABB-FM (Dittman Group - Mobile, AL) and WRAL-FM (Raleigh, NC -
Capitol Broadcasting). All have signed on to Emmis Interactive's
custom BaseStation(TM) platform and sales consulting services. "I
have done a lot of research on where our next opportunity will be,
and I feel interactive is the answer," said Mike Carter, Carter
Broadcasting. "My grandfather built this business, and in order to
preserve and grow what he built for my family, we need to be able
to do interactive right. We chose Emmis Interactive to help us
because they are a complete solution, and they understand our
needs. Ultimately, it's up to us to make the changes in our
organizations necessary to do business in today's marketplace, but
it is comforting to have Emmis Interactive as our partner --
they've been through it and can provide us insight and real-world
experience." "We believe the interactive space is the most critical
part of our future, and there's no company better prepared to take
us there than Emmis Interactive," said Ken Marks, General Manager,
WLOQ-FM, Gross Communications. "Emmis Interactive has shown that by
far they're the leader in the industry and their passion is
absolutely infectious. They are exactly what we need to take us to
the next level of growth." Betsy Dittman of WABB-FM said,
"Transforming an independent organization involves tremendous risk
when the business model involves both changes in human resources
and technology. Having a partnership with Emmis Interactive means
we don't have to do it alone -- we have someone taking a real
hands-on interest in what we're trying to accomplish. They take the
time to educate us first, prepare us for what is coming and provide
for our needs so we can successfully launch this initiative to our
staff. Emmis Interactive is the insurance policy that we will
achieve and exceed our expectations." "We did a thorough
exploration of our options in choosing a partner to help us build
our interactive business," said Ardie Gregory, General Manager,
WRAL-FM, Capital Broadcasting. "We wanted a partner who truly
understands our business and the value we are communicating to our
listeners and advertising clients. We are excited to begin our work
with Emmis Interactive and offer our talented staff the chance to
grow and learn and find even greater joy and pride in promoting,
communicating and selling our brand's assets." BaseStation(TM),
