First Federal Bancorp Announces Quarterly Cash Dividend ZANESVILLE,
Ohio, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- First Federal Bancorp, Inc.
(NASDAQ:FFBZ) today announced its Board of Directors declared a
quarterly cash dividend of $0.06 per common share, a 9% increase
over the amount paid for the same period last year. The dividend is
payable on July 5, 2004 to shareholders of record on June 27, 2004.
J. William Plummer, President and Chief Executive Officer,
commented, "First Federal Bancorp's second quarter 2004 net income
increased approximately 7% to $523,000, or $0.16 per diluted share,
compared to the same period last year. These results benefited from
specific growth initiatives as well as initial signs of improvement
in the economy. Our second quarter results included solid growth in
assets and non-interest income, which rose 7% and 31%,
