SonoSite, Inc. (Nasdaq:SONO), the world leader in hand-carried
ultrasound, said today that an independently conducted, random
survey of U.S. SonoSite customers showed that 97% are highly
satisfied overall with their system with nearly 9 out of 10
customers saying in the statistically significant survey that they
are "completely" or "very satisfied." Respondents were required to
be involved in the day-to-day operation or usage of the SonoSite
products being profiled and not just involved with the acquisition
decision. Image quality, ease of use, system reliability and
durability, and ergonomic design of transducers were key reasons
for the high satisfaction rating. Two-thirds of respondents said
that image quality of their SonoSite product is better in
comparison to other ultrasound products they have used. Over 60% of
the survey participants owned MicroMaxx(R) systems, approximately
one-third owned TITAN(R) systems and the remainder profiled were
180PLUS(TM) users. Over 90% of respondents were physicians and the
majority of respondents were hospital based. "This is the third
independent survey that we have commissioned over the last 18
months that confirms our products are meeting or exceeding customer
expectations by an extraordinarily high margin," said Kevin M.
Goodwin, SonoSite President and CEO. "As the innovator and
specialist in hand-carried ultrasound, we design our products to
enable physicians to deliver better care to their patients while
increasing productivity and streamlining workflow." Verispan, an
independent health care information research firm, conducted the
company-commissioned survey. About SonoSite SonoSite, Inc.
