11 August 2006 - 10:00PM
Business Wire
Sabre Holdings (NYSE:TSG) today announced that JetBlue Airways has
signed a new five-year, full-content agreement with Sabre Travel
Network. Through the agreement, all JetBlue published fares and
inventory will be available for subscribers of the Sabre global
distribution system (GDS), including published fares that the
airline sells through any third-party and through its own Web site
and reservation offices. All JetBlue fares will also be available
to Travelocity Business clients and to customers booking travel
packages through Travelocity. "We are pleased to once again offer
JetBlue products and services to travelers through the Sabre GDS,"
said Hugh Jones, chief operating officer, Sabre Travel Network.
"This is another opportunity to leverage Sabre's efficient travel
marketplace to help JetBlue market and sell its products." "At
JetBlue we recognize the value of the GDS channel and we are happy
to be able to offer our full content to agency and corporate
customers who are Sabre subscribers," said Noreen Courtney-Wilds,
director of sales and distribution, JetBlue Airways. About JetBlue
Airways In the six years since its launch, JetBlue Airways has
focused on creating a new airline category -- an airline that
offers value, service and style. Based out of New York City, the
low-cost carrier currently serves 41 destinations with more than
440 flights daily. Onboard JetBlue, customers enjoy roomy leather
seats and 36 channels of free DIRECTV(R) programming, the most live
TV available on any airline. On flights longer than two hours, a
selection of first-run movies and bonus features from FOX
InFlight(TM) is also available. On flights outside of the United
States, DIRECTV is not available, however, where applicable, FOX
InFlight(TM) is offered complimentary. JetBlue offers customers
generous brand name snacks and beverages, including freshly brewed
Dunkin' Donuts(R) coffee, and delicious wines selected by the
airline's Low Fare Sommelier, Josh Wesson from Best Cellars(R). On
overnight flights from the West, the airline now offers Shut-Eye
Service(TM), with a Shut-Eye Kit(TM) designed exclusively for
JetBlue by Bliss Spa and other special amenities including a "good
morning" hot towel service. With JetBlue, all seats are assigned,
all travel is ticketless, all fares are one-way, and an overnight
stay is never required. For information or reservations call
