STOCKHOLM--Swedish construction company Skanska AB (SKA-B.SK)
said Friday it has been awarded a $51 million contract to operate
and maintain oil fields in Colombia.
MAIN FACTS:
-The contract is a joint venture with a local company.
-The total amount of the contract is $70 million, of which
Skanska's share is 73%, amounting to a total of $51 million.
-The customer is Ecopetrol S.A., the biggest company in the
country and the main oil and gas company in Colombia.
-The order will be included in order bookings for the first
quarter 2013.
-Skanska will be responsible for the operation and maintenance
of 22 oil wells, two water injection wells, surface facilities, 80
kilometers of flow lines and the gas, oil and water treatment.
-Works are scheduled to commence in Mar. 2013 and will be
completed in the first quarter of 2017.
-At 0822 GMT shares traded 0.3% higher at SEK115.10.
