Chase announced a donation of $50,000 to support Buffalo
residents as they begin the difficult recovery following last
week’s devastating Lake Effect snow storm. The grant will go to the
American Red Cross of Western and Central New York, which will
support the winter storm response upstate and related
emergencies.
“The American Red Cross has been working tirelessly to respond
to the devastation caused by the recent snow storm in Buffalo,”
said David Horan, Western New York Regional Executive for Chase.
“We hope our grant helps bring some relief to those affected and
let them know we are here to help.”
“Thanks to our generous partners at JPMorgan Chase, the American
Red Cross will be able to provide valuable services to Western New
York residents whose lives have been turned upside down by this
lake effect snow event,” said Rosie Taravella, Chief Executive
Officer of the American Red Cross Western & Central New York
Region. “Generous donations like these enable us to offer a safe
place to stay, a warm meal, and a shoulder to lean for people who
have been or will be displaced from their homes by this
disaster.”
Additionally, to provide affected customers time to focus on
restoring their homes and community, customers in the Buffalo area
who have been impacted by the storm and are having challenges
paying their Chase credit card, mortgage or auto loan on time are
encouraged to call Chase to discuss alternative arrangements.
