“This is the third international award Bowflex Max Trainer has
received for its innovative design, and we’re thrilled to see yet
another positive marker for the product’s viability with consumers
internationally,” said Jeff Collins, Vice President, General
Manager Retail of Nautilus, Inc. “This one-of-a-kind product
meets key demands from the European consumer, who has limited time
and space for fitness equipment. The Bowflex Max Trainer delivers a
full-body workout that delivers results in 14 minutes.”
The Bowflex Max Trainer is an all-in-one cardio machine that
combines the power of an elliptical and stair stepper to burn up to
2.5 times the calories of other exercise equipment. The innovative
design enables full-body movement that engages the upper body 80
percent more than a traditional elliptical while remaining easier
on the joints. Users can track their workouts with the free Bowflex
Max Trainer app that wirelessly transfers all workout data via
Bluetooth® Smart technology. It tracks every detail — from time on
the machine to calories burned — and automatically syncs workout
data with Apple Health, Google Fit, as well as MyFitnessPal.
For the 2015 Gepard Award, Sport-Tiedje Group store managers
were asked to nominate products in four categories: Supplier of the
Year, Service of the Year, Product of the Year and Innovation of
the Year. In the Innovation of the Year category, the Bowflex Max
Trainer received over 80 percent of all votes, making it the clear
category winner.
“The Bowflex Max Trainer is a true market innovation – I don't
recall our store managers ever being so excited about a new
product, and it is our expectation that the Bowflex Max Trainer
will win over many customers,” said Sebastian Campmann, Managing
Director, Sport-Tiedje Group. “Nautilus, Inc. has a strong track
record of combining form and function to develop breakthrough
products. They have raised the bar again with the Bowflex Max
Trainer, which is a home fitness machine unlike anything else on
the market.”
