STOCKHOLM--Swedish construction company Skanska AB (SKA-B.SK)
said Tuesday that the Comptroller General (CGU) and the
Administrative Council of Economic Defense (CADE) have announced
they will involve additional companies in their corruption
investigation surrounding Petrobras (PBR), among them Skanska do
Brasil.
In July 2014 Skanska announced it would wind down its operations
in Latin America and exit the market. A new business unit president
was appointed, and a number of other key positions have also been
replaced.
The company said it is completing ongoing construction contracts
but not bidding for new construction projects. The operations and
maintenance business in Latin America will be divested, it
said.
"Skanska has a zero tolerance against corruption and takes the
situation seriously," the company said in a statement.
