Exobox Undertakes a Revamp of Its Flagship Product ExoDetect

Exobox Technologies Corp. (OTCBB: EXBX) announced today that it has
started working on the next version of its flagship product,
ExoDetect, and its companion product, ExoWatch. The goal is to make
the products more stable, allowing the company to serve more
clients in a timely fashion. This version will also improve the
results and add text analytics capabilities.
The effort is led by CTO, Mark Kerzner, and his team, which
enhances Exobox's development capabilities. In the past few months,
while working as a consultant to Exobox, Mark has ported the
ExoDetect to the Amazon Cloud, and it was this effort that was
instrumental in Gartner's designation of Exobox as a "Cool Cloud
Security Vendor" in April of this year. In addition, cloud
computing offers many conveniences for software developers, and
makes the computing capacity elastic (hence the name Elastic
Compute Cloud, or EC2), while keeping the expenses low, paying only
for the resources one uses. Based on these advantages, the Exobox
is able to undertake the development with internal financing.
To sharpen its development effort, Exobox is engaging the help
of outside security consultants, who provide investigative services
to their clients, and who can translate their experiences into
further improvements for Exobox clients.
Mark expressed his view: "Cloud computing offers Exobox a
tremendous advantage. With just a credit card, it gives us the
computing capacity that can be scaled up on demand, to be equal to
that of a large computing center. It also allows my programming
team, which is spread around the world, to connect and use the same
environment, as if we all were in one office." Norm Smith, CEO,
says, "This effort further reflects the company's new 'lean and
mean philosophy.' We have cut expenses to the bone, and the cloud
computing technology allows us to keep it this way. It also allows
us to pass the savings to our customers."
