As Ryan Reed looks to make his next appearance in the No. 15
Venturini Motorsports racecar on the high-banked track of Talladega
Superspeedway, he is proud to announce his new partner on board --
PacificHealth Laboratories, Inc (OTCQB: PHLI) (OTCBB: PHLI) and
their premium sports product, ACCELERADEâ„¢.
Through PHLI, ACCELERADE has begun an exciting new joint venture
with Ryan Reed, powering his health on the race track, and with
Ryan's Mission.
As a JDRF National Celebrity Advocate, Ryan's awareness and
funding drive for the cure of type 1 diabetes (T1D) inspired PHLI
and ACCELERADE.
"We are very proud of our partnership with Ryan Reed and his
mission to help inspire other athletes like himself with diabetes
as well as to help fund research for a cure," said Fred Duffner,
president and CEO of PacificHealth Laboratories. "We are proud to
say that ACCELERADE is able to Power Ryan's Passion!"
"The partnership with ACCELERADE just seems perfect," said Ryan.
"Ever since I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, my doctor (Dr.
Anne Peters) told me to make sure I always have ACCELERADE in the
race car to keep my blood sugar up during the race. I can't race
without ACCELERADE."
Most racecar drivers usually have a water drink bag inside of
their racecar to keep hydrated. Along with all the extra wires and
gauges inside of Ryan's car to monitor his blood sugar levels, Ryan
also has an extra drink bag with ACCELERADE in it to maintain his
blood sugar.
"It is really neat that PacificHealth Labs found my story and
need for their product so compelling that they joined my team and
mission. It means a lot to have a company with so much passion
stand behind me," said Ryan. "It is pretty cool that ACCELERADE is
going to be in my drink bag and on the in car camera spot light at
Talladega -- how perfect!"
Reed looks to back up his first Superspeedway ARCA start with
Venturini Motorsports where he qualified on the front row.
"After running second most of the race at Daytona I know our
chances are good here at Talladega. The guys at Venturini
Motorsports have worked really hard to bring me a great racecar. I
have a great team behind me and I just have to run a smart race,"
said Reed.
On-track activity, originally scheduled to begin on Thursday,
May 3rd with practice at 10:00am has been rescheduled due to rain.
Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell, originally scheduled
for 5:05pm CT, has been canceled. Drivers will line up according to
the 2011 Owner Points. ARCA officials remain hopeful for the
opportunity to practice later today.

will be aired live on SPEED TV. Live timing and scoring of all

About Ryan Reed Ryan Reed is a NASCAR
development driver racing under the Venturini Motorsports banner in
the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

by doctors his "racing career" was over. Armed with the passion and
determination to fulfill his dreams, Reed shifted his focus and
poured all his energy into managing his health and educating
himself on the disease. He uses his racing platform and personal
story to inspire others living with T1D to continue living life to
its fullest through Ryan's Mission.
Reed's off-track goodwill has made him a National Celebrity
Advocate of JDRF, the world's largest funder of research towards
curing, treating and preventing T1D and its complications. Today,
Reed is only one of three professional racecar drivers in the world
to compete at the highest levels of racing with T1D.
