Vinci Consortium Wins Contract to Recover Excavated Materials in France for $845 Million

Vinci said that a consortium led by its construction subsidiary
has won a contract to recover excavated materials from the French
side of the Mont-Cenis base tunnel for 800 million euros ($844.9
million).
The consortium will be in charge of the industrial treatment of
the 23 million metric tons of materials excavated on the French
side, the company said Tuesday.
The contract, which was awarded by Tunnel Euralpin Lyon-Turin,
also includes the reuse of more than 50% of the spoil on site, the
company said.
During the 120 months of works, the consortium will also provide
78,000 hours of work and training for people on integration paths,
Vinci said.
