Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification pursuant to Part
V of the Companies Act 1989, Section 134, that Standard Life Group no longer has
a disclosable material interest in the ordinary share capital of Chloride.

The previous position notified by Standard Life Group was on 16 September 2002
when a material interest in 9,864,128 (3.28%) Chloride ordinary shares was
disclosed.
