The Company received notification on 22 December 2003, pursuant to section 198
of the Companies Act 1985, that Fidelity International Limited ("FIL") and its
direct and indirect subsidiaries, being non-beneficial holders, have an interest
in 131,873,594 ordinary shares of the Company representing 9.83% of the issued
share capital. The notifiable interests also comprise the notifiable interest of
Mr. Edward C. Johnson 3d, a principal shareholder of Fidelity International
