(excluding 2,512,000 Global Equity Shares of 1p each held in Treasury) is

Managed Liquidity Shares

The Company announces that, on 30 May 2008, it repurchased 25,000 Managed
Liquidity shares of 1p each at 98.2p per share, to be held as Treasury shares.

The total number of Managed Liquidity Shares held in Treasury following this
repurchase is 1,126,500.

The total number of Managed Liquidity Shares of 1p each remaining in issue
(excluding 1,126,500 Managed Liquidity Shares of 1p each held in Treasury) is
22,059,581.

Hedge Fund Shares

The Company announces that, on 30 May 2008, it repurchased 34,000 Hedge Fund
shares of 1p each at 122.24p per share, to be held as Treasury shares.

The total number of Hedge Fund Shares held in Treasury following this
repurchase is 34,000.

The total number of Hedge Fund Shares of 1p each remaining in issue (excluding
