    Meldex International plc

    ("Meldex", or "the Company")

    Licensing Agreement for Rocgel

    The Company is pleased to report that it has signed an agreement to license/distribute Rocgel, into several North African countries as
well as Vietnam.  The agreement, dated 14 October 2008, gives the licensee the rights to sell Rocgel, an antacid for the treatment of
oesophageal, gastric and duodenal conditions. Meldex will receive EUR0.6m from this agreement. 

    As announced with the interim results on 30 September 2008, the Company remains in discussions to increase its working capital
facilities. The Company is in advanced stages of dialogue with multiple providers of capital, and will update the market shortly.
