                             Director Shareholding

Meriden was advised yesterday that Russell Stevens, a director of the Company,
had sold 43,000,000 ordinary shares of the Company at 0.6p per share on 
5 September 2005.

Following the above sale, Mr Stevens now holds a total of 109,500,000 ordinary
shares in the Company, representing 31.74 of the issued share capital of the
Company.
