PR Newswire (US)
FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cemtrex, Inc.
(OTC:CTEX) announced that its SM4 Mercury Monitoring system had
been approved for testing at a coal-fired power plant in Tremble
County, KY. The boiler exhaust flue gas consists of low temperature
and high moisture, thus creating a wet stack condition. Under these
conditions the measurement environment represents what the EPA
believes to be the most challenging situation to be found among
well-controlled boilers. The EPA is very closely working with NIST
to finalize the mercury standards and the Instrumental Reference
Methods which are expected to be announced by the middle of next
year. "Cemtrex's SM4 is being tested at this site and results will
be published during mid-October 2006," said Mr. Aron Govil, CEO and
President of the Company. "We are preparing to cater to the
multi-billion-dollar mercury monitors market which is opening up
due to the CAMR and proposed EPA PS-12A regulations." Cemtrex has
set up an advanced assembly line facility in Farmingdale, NY, and
is planning to produce 200 Mercury Monitoring systems in 2007 thru
2009, as all coal-fired boilers have to come under compliance
effective January 1, 2009. With its extensive experience in
emission monitoring systems on a worldwide basis, Cemtrex will
offer the most cost-effective mercury compliance solutions to all
coal-fired operations in the U.S. Cemtrex provides turnkey services
